Cute and somewhat humorous book for kids who are interested in Egyptian mummies as my 10-year-old niece is, but still very informative and factual. Not too gross, but holds the reader's interest and doesn't "dumb" it down for kids. I think my niece will enjoy this for Christmas.
Very engaging visually and filled with fascinating facts. My 9 year old loves this book and quickly shares what he has learned. He normally doesn't gravitate towards books but this one he even takes in the car with him. Highly recommend.
I bought this for my 6th grade classroom and the students love it! Kids pick it up to look at every day.
Bought it for non-fiction book clubs in classroom. Students loved reading it and read ahead of schedule because they were so fascinated (and grossed out). I’d say 5th or 6th grade if reading independently.
My daughter loves all things Egyptian......this was funny and a bit gross in the description. Perfect for a tween ager!
I use this book in conjunction with a variety of resources in an Ancient Egyptian unit. This book, by far, is a 3rd grade class favorite. Most of the mummy facts my students hand on to are the gross or unusual ones they find in this book. It's a fun read, but PACKED full of info.
