I bought this course because I kept coming across Dr. Verschuuren's YouTube videos as I sought answers for database set-up problems, and I'm not disappointed. This author has such an orderly mind and such good sense about what's relevant and important and what the learner needs to know when. The course presentation is nothing fancy, just a lot of slides to click through, but simple is good when there's good thought behind the content. I feel that I got an efficient, coherent, and thorough introduction to Access tools. Unlike Microsoft's Access training, which confused me with an undifferentiated mass of detail on all program options, this training is clearly focused on what people practically need to design and use databases, and on the specific features, functions, methods, procedures, and techniques that will be useful to them.
Works as described. Pretty good.
A very thorough and clever teaching method. By including questions in slides one is almost forced to concentrate on the subject material.Complemented by the author's Youtube videos I believe I will master ACCESS by the end of the year. Well done all round material.
Worst investment that I ever made.
I found this title very comprehensive and a good refresher for anyone who has been away from the details of using Access (as I have). There was at least one instance where I did find an error in the supporting databases. It was a bit tedious at time to navigate back and forth between the Powerpoint slides and the underlying support database ...but not too bad once you got the hang of it.I found myself jumping all around the various modules ...although I think there is a best order in which to take the whole course. I wish there had been additonal testing after a module was completed to test a student's mastery of the material. I also have the Access VBA module and I not sure how well it is integrated into the "main" access module. All in all The material was very comprehenive. -Mark
