This is book one of Annabella Michaels’ Souls of Chicago series. I’m late to the game with this series but I’m so glad I finally started reading it. In Feeding the Soul we meet so many people. It focuses on Caleb and Giovanni. It starts with us basically watching Giovanni’s life fall apart. Like right out of the gate you’re like, “This guy is having a bad day.â€When Caleb comes into the picture years later Giovanni’s whole foundation of “no relationships†is shaken. Caleb not only is gorgeous he’s kind, smart, loving, and he has a huge family. I found Caleb’s character to be flawlessly wonderful. There wasn’t a single thing about him that was unlikable. His entire family rocks and it’s like he and they are exactly what Giovanni needs.Giovanni is hurting through a lot of this book and it isn’t until he gets his much needed closure that we really start to fall hard for the guy. His ex is a horrible woman who should suffer a thousand deaths but that would be illegal so I guess I can just hope she falls into a dark depression that makes her skin peel off.This is a happy story and though there’s sad moments this isn’t a very angsty book at all. It’s got great flow and it was very hot! If you haven’t started this series than you really want to!
I stumbled upon this accidentally and I do not regret it. It was long, really long, but so worth it. This book pulls every emotion out of your body and makes you feel. I laughed, I cried, I got angry and I squealed with joy in public.This book will forever remain on my list of books to read again and again. Sometimes that person comes into your life when you find it most inconvenient, but what can you do?This book was beyond sexy, heartwarming, heartbreaking and I fell in love with it. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Don't pass this book up. It will change you in ways you can't imagine. 5 stars
I had been hearing great things about this series so I decided to give it a fo. First read from this author and I am so glad I did. I laughed and definitely cried.Caleb and Giovanni meet in a club and have what was supposed to be one night together, not knowing Caleb was just hired to work at Gio's restaurant. They try to do the just friends as Gio had sworn off relationships aince his wife hurt him by leaving 3 years prior, never knowing why. They decide to give in and enjoy each other without it being a "relationship", until his ex wife shows up at his restaurant, now married to her best friend. She says some things that makes Gio tell Caleb that he is not good enough for him.Will Gio finally get the answers he needs to be able to move on? If so, will Caleb forgive him?Hmmmm.....
I loved this book, there isn't anything I didn't like about it, the romance, the story, the characters.....everything. I am so excited to see who is next... Carter or Landon... So if the first book is anything to go by, I think they are going to be brilliant... Oh and as a side note: the sex scenes are epic...
This was such a heartfelt book. I could really feel what the characters were feeling and I laughed and cried with them. One of my favorite things was the sappiness, yes yes I know, it's not for everyone but sappiness is good once in a while.I really liked Giovanni and Caleb individually and together. Their chemistry was great and the dynamic between them and the rest of the characters was very well written. Both are amazing characters with big hearts and I'm so glad the story went the way it did.
I didn’t write a review for this book the first time I read it even though I gave it five stars but I I want people to know that I think Annabella Michaels writing is so fluid and easy to read. I enjoyed the love story between Gio and Caleb. This is my third time reading this book and it will not be my last!
I just finished the audible of feeding the soul, I haven't really taken the time to really listen to audible before , but I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed. Michael Pauline as narrator he added just the right amount fun and angst,.I found it truly entertaining to listen to him. Thumbs up Annebella and Micheal.
This is a story about the beautiful gift of love. The love that Caleb felt for Giovanni was true. Because of prior problems, convincing him took some time. This was a fantastic story with lots of great characters, fun, laughs and very HOT insta-wet moments. I can't wait to see what other love stories are ahead in the Souls of Chicago #2. I'm hooked!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!
